About Our School

Ever since, Sh. Brij Mohan Lal Munjal laid the foundation stone of this school on October 2, 1977, the school has taken great strides forward. The untiring endeavor of Sh. Satya Nand ji Munjal (Co-Chairman cum Managing Director of Hero Cycles Ltd.) and Arya Samaj Model Town, Ludhiana have enabled the school to scale new glories and achieve the distinction of a luminary among public schools.
BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School is a public school with a difference. It is an English medium co- educational school and follows pattern of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.The school is ideally situated in an open and sylvan six-acre estate in Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana. The school building is tastefully designed and bears an architectural grandeur. It has well furnished, airy,well maintained and aesthetically pleasing classrooms. The rooms have two way communication and are decorated in good taste and present a pleasing and cheerful atmosphere, thus enabling the children to develop aesthetic appreciation easily and naturally when they move in an environment that is attractive. The campus bears a magnificent spectacle. There is ample open space and the school is proud of its lush green play fields.The main aim of the school is a harmonious and all round development of the students in the field of art, literature, science, commerce, games, sports, co-curricular and youth activities and make them enlightened, responsible,honest and useful citizens of the world.
There is newly built Conference hall in its basement. The multi purpose auditorium known as Dayanand Hall provides ample opportunities for indoor events and functions. It is used as indoor stadium. Experienced teachers impart computer Education from I to XII class student. The school has its own band consisting of bagpipes and drums etc. The orchestra consists of keyboard side drum, khongo, electrical guitar and main drum. There is 400-meter international track consisting of 6 lanes. CBSE fixes athletic meets here due to its attractive track. Infrastructure

Class Rooms

The school has well furnished, airy and well maintained class rooms. The class rooms are aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. The rooms are decorated in good taste and present a cheerful atmosphere , thus enabling the children to develop aesthetic appreciation easily and naturally when they move in an environment that is attractive.
Conference Hall

Conference hall is an added asset to our school. It has seating capacity of 125 persons. It serves the purpose of holding all types of meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops which are a regular feature in school.
Parking

Our staff and students have the facility to park their vehicles under a safe and well protected parking place. The parking has got a basement for keeping cycles and the upper floor for keeping scooters.
Yagyashala

The school starts functioning with the blessings of the almighty by performing ‘Havan’ daily in the yagyashala.
Auditorium (Swami Dayanand Hall)

The school has magnificent and well designed multi-purpose Auditorium with a capacity of 1000. it has a stage which is well equipped with modern techniques of sound and dazzling lights which adds to its scenic beauty. The various school activities and functions are performed round the year in this Auditorium.
Artistically Designed Ramp

To overcome the difficulty faced by small children while going up and down the staircase, an artistically designed ramp has been constructed in the school’s campus.
Dispensary

The school maintains a well equipped dispensary under the charge of a well experienced nurse and doctor. The school dispensary ensures medical checkup of all students and provides them medical aid.
Language Lab

Lab with linguistic deals with study of the sound of speech to equip the students with various skills of listening and speaking. It is accelerating improvements in the spoken English and French.
Physics Lab

It is equipped with large collection of experimental charts, instruments and related equipment for conducting experiments on fluids, optics, current electricity, sound, semi-conductor, thermodynamics and magnetism. To provide audio-visual demonstration in certain experiments or showing films relating to physics, we have a latest projector in the lab.
Chemistry Lab

The school maintains a well equipped dispensary under the charge of a well experienced nurse and doctor. The school dispensary ensures medical checkup of all students and provides them medical aid.
Fashion Studies

Fashion is dynamic and ever changing. Fashion is a key driver for several industries e.g. apparel, accessories, textiles, automobiles etc. The purpose of ‘Fashion Studies’ is to tell the students about the fundamentals of fashion design and it will influence every facet of their lifestyles at a particular period in time.
Biology Lab

It is equipped with large collection of bio charts and equipment like Dissection microscopes, Compound Microscopes, Binoculars, Slide Projectors, Permanent slides, preserved specimens, 3 D models, and variety of working material for preparing stained preparations. Students also collect fresh materials from time to time on their own from the Botanical Garden and the Pond maintained in the school premises.
Bio-technology Lab

A Biotechnology lab. Also caters to the needs of students. It include laminar flow, UV Visible spectrophotometer, BOD incubators etc.
Business Lab

To understand the concept and process of entrepreneurship, Business Lab has been set up so that the students can acquire entrepreneurial quality, competency and motivation. Students will record observation regarding reasons for selecting the entrepreneurial career, starting the enterprise, the type of enterprise etc.
Maths Lab (Senior & Junior)

Mathematics has been an inseparable part of school education since the beginning of formal education. To make the students more comfortable, the school has its Mathematics Lab both for sciences and the other disciplines. To understand a number of learning activities computers are installed. There are mathematical modals to cater the need of practicals in Maths. With the help of modals students are able to understand the concept more clearly as compared to look at the diagram in the book.
Libraries

Library is a centre of attraction for students with good reading habits. The school is the proud owner of 3 libraries. Our senior and junior libraries have got selected 19000 books which include text-related books, encyclopedias & reference books on various subjects. Our library is a subscriber of about 60 magazines pertaining to the interests of the students and the staff. The school subscribes about 15 different newspapers in various language including weekly newspapers especially meant for kids. it has got separate reading and stock room. Our junior library caters to the needs of the young minds. C.D. Library has also been provided with a large collection of CDs on various subjects.
