Kendriya Vidyalayas are pace-setting and trend-setting institutions under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. Kendriya Vidyalaya Maithon Dam had its inception in 1985 and is situated at a distance of 6 km from Kumardhubi Railway Station (on Asansol-Dhanbad chord Line). The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan envisaged it as a great center of learning for the children of the employees of DVC, Maithon. Through the years the school has expanded not just its opportunities for learning, but also its student population and student accomplishments. Awakening of the inner conscience of the teacher and the taught through multi pronged strategies has been the hallmark of KV system. |
