Scoala Nr.1 Peris, If

About Our School Peris village(read [pe’rish]) is only 38 km far from the capital city Bucharest and 20 km far from The International Airport “Henry Coanda” of Otopeni.
About 280 pupils (7-14 years aged) are educated in School No.1 Peris by 20 teachers. Our school got a new modern look thanks to EU funds of which we benefited recently. We are an enthusiastic well-trained school staff. Our pupils were awarded several olympic prizes at Maths, Romanian literature, English, History, Biology, Sports artistic activities.
Peris is a quite large village that lies in the Romanian Plain, on the south-west end of the Snagov lake, near the Scrovistea Forest (a relict of the ancient Vlasia Woods), which was a royal domain in the past (now the Scrovistea palace is a Presidential residence). Not far from us there is a little island on the Snagov Lake and a XIVth century monastery on it where Dracula is buried inside the church. However our story about Dracula (we call him Vlad Tzepesh, Vlad the Impaler) is completely different from the occidental ghost story.

Two of the upcoming events are REFLECTIONS, an event in the History Subject and COFAS (Computer Fair and Seminar) which will be organised in September. We would be honoured to have your school participate in these events. We would also be honoured to host the Principal/Head of the School who would be our honoured Special Guests for the event. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in any of these events. We would send you a formal invitation for the same. Looking forward to hearing from you in near future.
